Apart from a mathematically fruitful (and certainly intense) summer school and conference, we also want you to have a pleasant stay in Berlin. Here are some suggestions.

Beer nights
Let's have a beer or two at one of the many bars that Berlin has to offer!

The second beer night will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. There will be groups leaving from the tutorial to Bergmannstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg (click here for a map). There we will also have the chance to watch the Euro 2012 soccer game England - Ukraine.
The nearest subway station is U7 Mehringdamm.

The first beer night will take place on Sunday, June 17, 2012, the night before the summer school starts. Due to the Euro 2012 soccer game Germany - Denmark all bars will be heavily overcrowded on that night. Therefore, we will meet in the foyer of the math department and give you the opportunity to watch the game here.

Guided city tours
There is an infinite amount of guided city tours available. Sebastian's favorite is the 3.5 hour (including a coffee break) English-language walking tour by Sandeman's New Europe. It is free, however the tour guide will be asking for tip.

Visit of the Reichstag building
Unfortunately, as our group has become too large, it was not possible for us to arrange a visit of the Reichstag building for all participants. If you would still like to visit the home of the German Parliament, please get together in small groups and register here.
(Registrations have to be made several days prior to the visit!)
