Abstract

In this talk, we will investigate functions on affine space over a field. In the projective case, we naturally come across the notion of rational functions. More concretely, when we change the field to the complex numbers, for the projective space, one gets an identification of the field of rational functions with the field of meromorphic functions, which is a consequence of Chow's Theorem. We will prove this for the projective line.
